Magda Garlinska

Thema der Dissertation: „Der Gesang der Fledermäuse” von Olga Tokarczuk. Der Kampf um Tierrechte als Symbol für die Auseinandersetzung mit Frauenrechten in Polen.

Magda Garlińska studied at Theater Academy in Warsaw in The Department of Theater Studies. She graduated with the title of Master of Arts in 2012. Since October 2017 she is a PhD student in The Culture Studies Department of European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), where she researches on Polish female literature and its connections with feministic debate in Poland. She is a member of Center for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies on the Viadrina University. She took part in Impacts of Gender Discourse on Polish Politics Society & Culture Conference at University College London, 3rd International Marxist Feminists Conference at University of Lund, Contested Kinship: Towards a Redefinition of Human Relations (Georg- August Universität Göttingen), Nora Conferance 2019 (University of Island), where she presented her papers.

Since October 2017 she holds the scholarship of Hanns Seidel Foundation.
