Irina Lapshyna, PhD
Irina Lapshyna studied Internationa Economics at Lviv Academy of Commerce and received there her PhD for her thesis on „International labour migration: Ukrainian case in 2002". She investigated the migration and human capital develepment in Ukraine. She had been research fellow at National Institute for Strategic Studies (Ukraine), Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań (Poland), University of Minnesota (USA). In the EU funded research project EUMAGINE she investigated the impact of perceptions of human rights and democracy on migration aspirations and decision. In EUMAGINE, she contributed to the data collection and analysis of questionnaires and questionnaire development. She conducted qualitative in-depth interviews, compiled country and region reports and policy briefs.
