Successful preparation of a seminar paper including the implementation and analysis of a small simulation model of 10-15 pages (and a 20-30 min. presentation of the results of the paper)

Aim of the module (expected learning outcomes and competencies to be acquired):
The students will learn how conduct a simulation study including data collection, model development, simulation experiments, and analyzes and interpretation of the results.
Contents of the module:
This seminar gives an introduction into the field of discrete-event simulation. The basic principles of a simulation study will be discussed and explained using the software AnyLogic by XjTek. In the practical part the students will have to perform a small simulation study on a production or service process.

Lecture notes and additional material are provided online. Learning a state-of-the-art multi-purpose simulation software.
