Research colloquium of the Center for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies in Summer Semester 2023

Thursdays, 11.00 – 13.00 Uhr c.t.

The aim of the research colloquium of the Center for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies is to discuss new research approaches and methods in the field of interdisciplinary Polish studies. We understand Polish studies as an integral part of regionally oriented research on East Central Europe. Our goal is to arrive at a comprehensive understanding of historical and current social, economic and cultural processes in Poland against a European and global background. This concept of Polish studies presupposes an interdisciplinary approach. With that in mind, the Frankfurt Center complements the traditionally rather humanities-based research on Poland with approaches and methods from economic and social sciences.

Since 2012/13, acclaimed scholars, PhD students and people from the media and economy have presented and discussed their work in over 200 lectures.

Interested guests are always welcome!
