Kamila Schöll-Mazurek, PhD., migration researcher, political scientist and activist specialised in German and EU politics. Academic staff member at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies at the European University Viadrina since 2014. Graduated from the Institute of Political Science at the University of Opole in 2004. Awarded a PhD in Political Science at the Jagiellonian University in 2009 for her thesis on The German Foreign Policy Towards Poland Under the Government of the SPD/Green/Aliance'90 Coalition (1998-2005) (thesis supervisor: Prof Erhard Cziomer). Lecturer in the project “Onboarding in Europe? Social Cohesion in a Europe of Diversity. Strategies, Controversies, Future” as part of the European Commission’s Jean Monnet Programme since 2022. Awarded and manager of the grant "mobility of EU citizens - an opportunity of growth?" (2016-2018) funded by the European Commission. Received scholarships from the Polish-German Foundation for Science as well as the Catholic Academic Exchange Service.
Author of publications on European politics, migration and Polish-German relationships, especially on social inequality and free movement of persons in Europe.
